Introducing Jamf Pro 10.17

Jamf Pro 10.17 provides Google Secure LDAP integration and updates to User Enrollment and Enrollment Customization. Full details here.

With the Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC) 2019 now in the books, it’s time to turn our attention back to product changes with the unveiling of Jamf Pro 10.17 today!

We’re excited to take the wraps off this version, especially the new Google integration and updates to User Enrollment and Enrollment Customization. Read a bit about these new features below or head to our release notes for more.

Google Secure LDAP

Apple and Google are often two of the largest pieces of any IT stack. That’s why we are excited to announce that we are extending the value of Google’s Cloud Identity and G Suite services by integrating with Google Secure LDAP beginning in Jamf Pro 10.17.

This integration will save IT admins a ton of time by allowing them to easily leverage existing user and group information from Google for their Jamf Pro work. Additionally, users will love a more streamlined setup experience that is possible by tapping into user information from Google.

Enrollment Customization

Onboarding can be a stressful experience but there is no better way to streamline onboarding and welcome a user to their new device than with Enrollment Customization.

In Jamf Pro 10.17, we are adding support for markdown, meaning that admins can build richer and more engaging enrollment screens than ever. With markdown support, you can embed video, pictures, GIFs and text into multiple PreStage Panes, creating an onboarding process that is tailored to your organization.

User Enrollment

Finally, I’m excited to say that User Enrollment is leaving preview! You’ll remember that User Enrollment was announced way back in June at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). Since then, Jamf launched support for this feature on day-zero in September. We’ve continued to iterate and are happy to be at a point where we are comfortable removing the “preview” label so users can feel confident using this feature with product equipment and at scale.

Additionally, we are making Self Service available for devices enrolled using User Enrollment beginning with Jamf Pro 10.17. End users will love how easy it is to find and use apps, documents and more with Self Service on their personally-owned devices.

Jamf Pro 10.17 is available today. Check your inbox or Jamf Nation for more information. And if you're not already a Jamf Pro customer, give us a try with a free trial.
